This is on a trail I regularly mountain bike on, although it’s really a hiking trail. But it’s excellent, beautiful, and easily accessible riding right from my house. This is probably 40 minutes of riding up a mountain to get to this spot. Then it’s all downhill. I did it today in a total puddle of sweat, but it was a nice way to end the week.

Happy weekend!

You need a motorcycle. Less sweaty, more fun.

I should add that what you can’t tell in the picture is that the trail drops probably 20 feet in that section, and it goes to the left of that leaning tree near the top. Looking uphill, that is. I ride it down only, it’s part of a loop.

I have two kids under 4, I need a motorcycle like I need a hole on the head. But I do enjoy riding them. With the bike though, I can go out with friends even at night and it’s sold to the wives as “exercise"

As an avid motorcycle rider, mountain biking is so much more fun. They are as light and nimble as you can possibly get. Working for the downhill makes it so much sweeter.

The last time I rode my (cheapo) mtn bike, it was so light I didn’t feel comfortable on it. I actually enjoy the heft a motorbike has. Or I’m just used to it. I haven’t ridden downhill on a bicycle, though. I think good brakes and suspension and big tires and an engine are good things.

Id definitely hike it. I have found that since I picked up hiking, I’ve lost interest in mountain biking. Mainly because hiking is just the cost of a good pair of boots whereas a decent bike costs as much as my car lol. Either way, easy access to wilderness and nature is definitely a requirement for where I live. Right now I have to drive like two hours to get to good hiking trails. That's no Bueno! Need to get that under an hour for sure.

I was out of biking for several years. Just got back into it and spent 1500 on a bike. Yeah I hear ya. It’s a huge help that I can ride from home or work, no driving at all....

Cheapo could be the problem. A good full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes make such a crazy difference.
